Today Robyn was rewarded with STIM Guitar Platinum

Today Robyn was rewarded with STIM Guitar Platinum. Robyn became a member of STIM back in 1995 at age 16 - the same year as her big hit Do You Really Want Me (Show Respect) was released. The breakthrough in the U.S. came in 1997 with Do You Know (What It Takes) and Show Me Love.

In 2002 Robyn released her third album, Don’t Stop the Music, from which both the title track and Keep This Fire Burning became big hits. From Robyn’s fourth album the single Be Mine was released. When STIM now made a statement of the songs mostly played on Swedish Radio throughout this decade Robyn beats a record by being the songwriter who has the greatest number of works on the list with these 3 songs out of 10 possible.

“STIM gives Guitar Platinum 2009 to Robyn for the creative force, expressive stage presence and the entrepreneurial spirit which has always been her distinguishing feature. Despite her young age, she has already established herself as a role model for many musicians and the major successes as a songwriter and live performer, both nationally and internationally makes her a pride

of the Swedish music scene.”

Among previous recipients of STIM Guitar Platinum are Per Gessle, Joakim Berg and Benny Andersson.
